PURE
Lime Base Microcement

PURE is a two-component lime-based coating. This product has been formulated to be applied as a continuous coating on walls, floors, shower trays, washbasins, worktops, both indoors and outdoors.

It is applied with a metal trowel in several layers, allowing a wide variety of effects to be achieved. The substrate is first prepared with PURE Base followed by PURE Traffic or PURE Finishing.

Once mixed, it creates a coating with a very thin thickness of 1 to 3 mm, with high mechanical resistance, very good workability and strong adhesion to any type of substrate: concrete, cement mortar, ceramics, MDF, plaster and plasterboard.

PURE – Lime Base Microcement (NEW)

The latest KCBerry novelty now available with a new chemical formula, the latest Lime Based Microcement coating is easier, quicker and more practical to apply. Great advantages for a product with a finish very similar visually to Tadelak, but with all the resistance of Microcement. Waterproof, you can also choose between Finishing and Traffic for different stained and marbled aspects.

ADVANTAGES – Lime Base Microcement

  • Manual and handmade finishing.

  • Can be applied to almost any type of substrate: concrete, cement, ceramics, plasterboard, stucco, etc.

  • Continuous coating without seams, but always respect expansion joints.

  • Wide range of colours and effects. List of colours available

  • Matt, Satin and Gloss finishes.

  • High adhesion to the substrate.

  • Simple and easy to apply.

  • High hardness, flexibility and resistance.

How to apply – Lime Base Microcement

The mixture should be prepared as follows:

  1. Pour the Lime Resin into a container, add the entire amount of pigment corresponding to the amount of microcement
  2. Gradually pour in the PURE Base microcement powder while mixing the product with a low-speed mechanical mixer.
  3. PURE Base to be mixed until a homogeneous coloured mortar is obtained, for at least 4 minutes until a homogeneous, lump-free mixture is obtained.

The mortar should then be applied as follows:

  1. On floors, apply adhesion promoter to the 50g fibreglass mesh before the first coat. Depending on the type of substrate, apply two coats of PURE Base microcement using a metal trowel.
  2. Between coats, allow the previous coat to dry for 2 – 4 hours, then sand with a vibrating circular sander using 60 grit sandpaper to remove any imperfections.
  3. The application can be finished with a coat of PURE Base, PURE Traffic or PURE Finishing depending on the desired finish. Between coats, allow the previous coat to dry for 2 – 4 hours, sand with a vibrating circular sander using the appropriate sandpaper for each finish to eliminate any imperfections. PURE Finishing microcement is preferably used on walls and non-traversable surfaces.
  4. PURE can be worked using the “fresh on fresh” technique, applying the third coat as soon as the second coat stops sticking to the touch. The first coat of PURE (Traffic or Finishing) applied using this technique should not be sanded. If any burrs or irregularities remain, these should be removed with the trowel, removing any protruding material. When the material is dry, sand it with a vibrating circular sander or 100 grit hand sandpaper to remove any imperfections (as soon as it changes colour or becomes lighter).

KCBerry microcement should always be sealed between 24 and 48 hours.

PURE KCBerry microcement can be protected with Presealer varnish or Lime Sealer varnish in two coats.

We recommend strictly following the application instructions in the technical data sheets.
